How do you make money on ebay? The process exposed inside!

By: Tim Hensley

Interested in making money online? Becoming an Ebay retailer might sound good, but it's important to know how you make cash on ebay before jumping head first and deciding to quit your day job. My aim today is to offer you with a general comprehension of how ebay works and more specifically how to make cash using ebay.

As you may probably already realize, Ebay is an auction site where many millions of folks all over the world purchase and vend stuff ranging from toys, tools, cars, clothes, computers, and other diverse products. What most individuals here about ebay is that mom decided to start advertising her out-of-date jewelery and made a killing and decided to make a living out of it and now works full time from home selling stuff on ebay from the security of her own home. This is the basic plan, but I am going to be a little more specific about the process coming up.

When you find a product you do want to vend, you have to list it and when you publish it you go through a set of forms that ask you different questions about the product your listing and then ebay asks you if you want to do special stuff with your listing like bold the text, highlight your item and other such things that will enhance your goods chances of being found and sold. It is important to note that if you want to feature your auction or bold text and add extra images to your publishing it is going to cost you on top of your listing fee.

Now, as you might have assumed you have to pay ebay a publishing fee for each product you list. Now, ebay has this really cool promotion going on right now where your first three listings are FREE, but after that you pay the regular listing charge which is based totally on how much the product sells for in the end. So if you have a product that is sold for $1 you will pay less in listing charges than you would for something that was purchased for say $500. Ebay's listing fee's are not bad and I never notice what I pay in publishing fee's after my auction ends and I accept payment.

Ok, so you've published your auction, the auction has ended and you got a sale! Now what? Well, if you go to myEbay you can see what goods you have sold and if payment has been made yet. Now most people will pay for the item they have purchased right away, but some folks are a little slow, in any case once you have received and accepted the payment your paypal account is credited accordingly and ta-da! You have just made money selling something on ebay!
